Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari said his government is on the right pact to change the image of the country by establishing liability and integrity in the governance.

Buhari make the statement at a meeting with a group of Nigerians in the Diaspora in Dakar, Senegal based on the sideline of the 3rd Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in all Africa.

According to statement which was issued on Tuesday, by Malam Garba Shehu, the president Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity saying the president asked Nigerian leaders to stop believed on doing things like the old way, which bankrupt the country.

When speaking with the 11-man Nigerian duty based in other Africa country like Senegal and Cote D'Ivoire, Buhari said that in the last 16 years, the country resources and infrastructure were handling poor, which had brings negatively impact to the country.

Buhari said “This administration is pleased we won the election, we are pleased Nigerians are cooperating with us. “But the problems are so enormous that we need the cooperation of Nigerians, particularly the elite.

“They (elite) should reflect on the condition of the country, and stop making expensive demands because things cannot be done the old way,''

Speaking about the wellbeing of Nigerians in the Diaspora, the President guaranteed that the Federal Government would help to continue in promoting good partnership and clean the negative acuity about Nigerian aboard.

Buhari said “Nigerians are known for their competitiveness and I am very passionate about Nigeria.

“I will continue to preach good neighbourliness and work hard to improve the numerous human and material resources in the country,''

Alhaji Adebayo Yahaya, the president of the Nigerian community in Cote D'Ivoire highly praised Buhari for his courageous over fighting against corruption in Nigeria.

Mr. Yahaya said “Nigerians are praying for your success, don't relent, do not lose hope, the Almighty God is behind you.''

Mr. Osas Edigin, the President of Nigerian community in Senegal make it known to Buhari that all Nigerians in Senegal are enjoying good relationship with their hosts.

The President of the Nigerian community in Senegal, Mr Osas Edigin, told the President that Nigerians in the country had been enjoying excellent relationship with Senegal citizen.
