50-yr-old man remanded in court  for fraudulent bahaviour
A 50-year-old man identified as Rasaki Shakoto has been arrested and remanded before the Igbosere Magistrates' Court, Lagos over fraudulent behaviour of taking a sum of N2.8m from a land buyer.

Rasaki reportedly promised Otunba Williams Kuye,the land buyer two acres of land for the amount N2.8m which was paid in June 2013.

It was made known by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the accused was arrested over three-count of fraud, stealing and breach of peace.

The prosecutor in the case,Inspector Ibrahim Haruna said:“the accused knew that the representation he made to Kuye was false”.

According to the prosecutor,the crime contravened Sections 166 (d), 285 and 312 (a) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The court magistrate, Martins Owumi granted the accused a bail in sum of N500, 000 after he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
