Moshood Adelapo, a 70-year-old man and his wife, Balikis are married for 22-years and the marriage is about collapsing after moshood approached an Igando Customary Court in Lagos State to annul it.

Moshood who was a building materials dealer report to court that his wife, balikis who bares three children for him was caught

sleeping around with different men while she denies him sex whenever he wanted to sleep with her.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Adegboyega Omilola, the court presider was told that his wife goes out at will and even sleeps in the homes of her lovers.

“My wife is promiscuous and she used to deny me sex but preferred giving it to her other lovers. There was a day she went to pass the night in one of her lovers' house, unfortunately, the wife of her lover, who traveled, came back unannounced and caught them in bed.

The woman beat my wife mercilessly, stripped her naked and seized her clothes. I then received a call that someone was about to murder my wife. I got the address and rushed there with some of my neighbours to rescue her.

I also caught her with a man she had introduced to me as her brother and I ordered her to pack out of my house, she pleaded and promised to change but she did not.

My wife always tells me she will kill one day and I am afraid she will carry out her threat one day. I want the court to separate us before she terminates my life.”

Balikis, a 51-year-old woman who was a petty trader and agree to her offence before the magistrate of not sleeping with her husband because he was fond of beating her.

She said:“Yes, I denied him sex because he used to beat me. My husband used to order my children to beat me up; all the scars on my body were as a result of the constant beatings I received from them.”
