President Buhari Orders Sport Minister To Pay The Super Falcons
On wenesday, President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the Ministry of Finance to pay the Super Falcons their entitlements and any oustanding debts.

The Victorious Falcons, who eliminated their hosts Cameroon 1-0 to win the African Women's Cup of Nations(AWCON) in Yaounde on December 3, they were forced to embark on protest in Abuja after the Nigeria Football Federation failed to pay them their bonuses and allowances.

The reigning and eighth time African champions marched to the Presidential Villa on Wednesday to protest their demands.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Abba Kyari, told State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa that Buhari had directed the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Solomon Dalung, to ensure that the players were paid today.

Kyari, who just returned from a medical trip abroad said, he had conveyed the president's directive to the players, who staged a protest to the gate of the Presidential Villa earlier on Wednesday. He said, “The problem has been resolved.

The players did us proud. I congratulated them on the what they achieved.
