The Governor visits the bank around 1:20pm on Thursday; on getting to the bank he went straight to confront Mr.Mogeed Adekunle, the bank manager, presenting a withdrawal cheque before him.
Fayose told the Bank Manager that his present in the bank was based on the order given by the Federal High court on December 14.
Fayose said “I am ready to wait in your office till you close for the day as I want my money in cash, “
Manager Adekunle quickly makes an arrangement for the money, promising to act on his last word.
According to reports, the Governor left the bank with N5million at exactly 3:20 pm, saying: “ I came to the bank after serving them with the court order and I made up my mind that I won't leave the bank until my money is given to me. And the bank has done the needful by giving me part of the money confirming that they have obeyed the court order. I want to thank Nigerians and my supporters for believing in our cause that Nigerians should not be oppressed.
''The rascality of EFCC must stop. And I want to thank the EFCC for obeying the court order.
They placed order on two accounts, one has N82 million, the other has N300 million. I have collected N5 million now.”
In past months, Governor Fayose was accused by the EFCC for alleged Frauds of some money, which leads to the Governor frozen account.
But on Tuesday, the Federal High Court ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to unfrozen his account.
The Governor immediately went to the bank, decided to withdraw all his money, but N5m was given to him.
