Clear Water And Hygiene Can Prevent Malnutrition, WHO

According to World Health Organisation (WHO), water and hygiene are closely linked, saying that better water and hygiene could prevent about 361,000 deaths among children under 5 years old every year.

The World Health Organisation(WHO) advices all nation to educate their people on water cleanliness and hygiene, claiming that the condition helps in reducing malnutrition cases.

Recently, in Bornu State at the region of Muna Garage of the state capital, Malduguri, some helpful organizations are raising the consciousness of good hygiene practices.

The Leader of Solidarities International Promotion Team, Hyeladzira Daniel, reports that

“Every day we work in the field. We do the sensitization every day because it's a big community. We check their water containers to see whether they are properly covered. We check the inside to see whether it's properly clean.”

Mr. Daniel speech tells that to overcome the problems of death of children caused by malnutrition, in Nigerian, especially the North east, the federal government will have to introduce some organization that will encourage and monitor people on how to maintain their environment including water and proper sanitation of the environment.
