Leicester City and Nigerian striker Ahmed Musa has been named as the new captain of the Super Eagles in the two friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso scheduled to be played in Londonthis month.

The reason being that the real captain of the team John Obi Mikel has opted out of the two games

Thus, Super Eagles handler Gernot Rohr has now named Musa as the player to lead the team against the two African sides.

''Ahmed Musa is one of the senior players in my team, and we have to respect that by giving him the deserved position,'' Gernot Rohr explained.

Ahmed Musa has fallen out of favor at Leicester City and was also alleged to be part of the players who masterminded the exit of former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri.

His woes at the club continued as the interim manager Craig Shakespeare has not selected him in his two games in charge since the exit of Claudio Ranieri.

That's nice, We wanted to boost his morale to do the job. It was just a way of encouraging him to get what we wanted him to achieve. - yayahdrs8@gmail.com
