Zaki Ahmed, the former CP in Bauchi state will acts as the state 38th commissioner of police based on the state history.
Following the death of the State ex- commissioner of police, Francis Odesanya, Mr. Zaki was appointed on Monday to take over his office.
The new commissioner has once served as a Deputy Commissioner of Police in River state, but he was later transfered out of the state.
Mr. Ahmed served in Bauchi state before transferred back to River State, while he was been praised by Kogi State command's for his effort he made in Bauchi State.
Before his appointed, Zaki hold a meeting in the police conference room with River state command's at Moscow road in Port Harcourt.
The new commissioner showed his gratitude to the press for supporting the state police, saying that he would later speak to them.
