HMD the new stewards of the rebranded Nokia phones collection is putting up a new strategic partnership with Google that may see the brand replace the now dead Google Nexus Phones.

With features that offers what Google terms the “ultimate Android experience” that include things like stock Android, fast updates and competitive pricing.

The new Nokia phones released by HMD runs on the Android operating system and according to HMD's Global vice president for the Middle East and North Africa Per Ekman, “Most of the smartphones in the market do not have the Android OS in the way it should be.” And HMD is working to deliver this pure Android experience, “Vendors are adding a skin on top of the OS. Consumers have the right to have the latest version of the OS, and we will be pushing the latest version and the patches as soon as it is available from Google,” Mr. Ekman added.
