Argentina legend Diego Maradona has been reportedly rushed to an hospital in Cali, Colombia, where he is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days.
Currently, the 57 year-old former World Cup winner is undergoing laboratory analysis with medics.
According to the UK Sun report, Maradona who was due to work as an analyst during Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup, but has been placed under close observation by the surgeon, German Ochoa who operated the same knee 17 years ago.

The report further added that the former Argentina captain has been complaining of pains in the past four months and could hardly move with knee in recent time.
“It is a general check-up with an emphasis on his knees. We are making evaluations and the necessary diagnostic images, resonance and laboratory tests,” the surgeon was quoted as saying.
On the other hand, media reports in Colombia suggest that the La Albiceleste legend could likely be admitted for at least a week or more to enable more analysis and tests to be carried out on the affected knee.
