Buhari’s aide Lauretta Onochie lambasts Dino Melaye
– Presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie, has questioned whether Dino Melaye’s return to the Senate is legally right
– Onochie said it is absurd that Melaye who is standing trial for an alleged criminal offence is allowed back in the Senate
President Muhammadu Buhari’s special assistant on social media, Lauretta Onochie, has accused Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi west senatorial district, of trying to distract President Muhammadu Buhari from his presidential duties.
Onochie, in several tweets today, June 1, also questioned Melaye’s mental health and asked whether Melaye’s return to the Senate is allowed since he is still standing trial for an alleged criminal case.
Onochie made her statement after Dino during a plenary session accused President Buhari of insulting the Senate and demanded an apology from the president.

Melaye reportedly claimed President Buhari said, “some lawmakers have been in the National Assembly for 10 years without doing anything”
While reacting to Dino’s statement, Onochie said: “One day, Dino Melaye, will come to terms that the Nass doesn’t belong to him.
“In his delusional state & on bail, he’s shamefully back to his clowning. I would hope that he confines his rascality to unsuccessfully suppressing opposing views in the Senate. Let the President be.
“It’s an absurdity that Melaye, who is standing trial for alleged criminal offences, who in a suic*de bid, jumped out of a moving vehicle & whose obsessive compulsion disorder makes him think he owns the Nass, should be allowed to return to d Senate without proper mental evaluation.”
