Manchester City superstar Gabriel Jesus will be starring in his first FIFA World Cup with Brazil after being named in the Brazil squad for Russia 2018.
He will captain the team for this year’s edition of the championship.
The 21-year-old posted on social media sometime last year how he went about paining the streets of Brazil ahead of the 2014 edition of the competition.
Jesus came to limelight when he joined Manchester City in the winter of 2017 from Brazilian club side Palmeiras after spending two seasons at the club.

He started his senior career at the club’s youth team in 2015, having spent two seasons at their youth side – scoring 16 goals in 47 appearances.
The forward, who scored the Citizens’ last goal of the 2017-18 Premier League season against Southampton at the St Mary’s Stadium in May said while posting the picture said that: ‘Painting the street for the 2014 World Cup’.
However, after spending one and a half year at the Etihad Stadium, the forward has scored 20 goals in 39 appearances for the EPL side.

previously reported that Gabriel Jesus has hit the ground running on his arrival to the Premier League and has scored seven goals in ten League appearances which has seen him challenge Sergio Aguero for a starting place.
The clinical striker has already tasted success with Brazil winning Olympic gold and will now aim to help Brazil win their sixth World Cup in Russia in 2018.
