Court serves 2 men N50,000 bail for stealing phone worth N10,500
– A magistrate court in Ogun state has arraigned two men for allegedly stealing a phone
– The accused, Rasheed Olayode, and Kunle Amodu, have been accused of stealing an Itel phone valued at N10,500
– The court hearing for the case has been fixed to take place on Tuesday, June 5
Two men, Rasheed Olayode, and Kunle Amodu, who allegedly stole a cell phone valued at N10,500 were on Thursday, May 31, brought before an Ota magistrates’ court in Ogun.
The accused, Olayode, (24 years) and Amodu, (25 years) whose addresses are unknown, are facing a two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The accused, according to the prosecutor, Sergeant Chudu Gbesi, committed the offences with others still at large on Tuesday, May 15, at Ans-ur-deen Secondary School, Itele near Ota.
Gbesi said the accused and their accomplices conspired to steal an Itel phone valued at N10,500 belonging to one Salami Adewale.
Gbesi said: “The accused were caught in the act by passersby who handed them over to the police.”
The offences contravened Sections 390 and 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun, 2006. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The senior magistrate, G. E. Akan, granted each of the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties each in like sum.
