Drama as youths in Abeokuta resist SARS harassment (photos)
– Youths in Abeokuta reportedly came together to resist harassment from operatives of the SARS
– The youths allegedly rallied round some oppressed men and prevented the SARS from arresting them
There was drama in Abeokuta, Ogun state, on Tuesday, June 12, after some youths rallied round a young man allegedly being harassed by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad and prevented them from arresting him.
Trouble reportedly started after SARS operatives asked a young man to open his car boot which he obliged.
He, however, refused to come out of his car and identified himself as a Marine officer but the SARS operatives allegedly refused to listen to himas they dragged him out of the car nd started hitting him with their guns.

A soldier passing by who tried to intervene and calm the warring party was also reportedly brutalised by the men of the Nigerian police.
This act reportedly incited the youths to jump in and prevented the SARS operatives from arresting the young man or assaulting him and the military man who tried to help.
