Nigeria’s World Cup preparations was taken to another level as the three-time African champions took on the Three-Lions of England at the prestigious Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
In less than eight minutes, Chelsea defender Gary Cahill opened scoring for the hosts through a superb header to leave Francis Uzoho confused in the early minutes of the game.
With the visitors still trying to find their rhythm in the encounter, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane doubled his side’s lead barely six minutes to the end of the first half of the game.

The Spurs forward benefited from Brian Idowu’s poor clearances to place the ball at the back of the net, although, the goalkeeper attempted to save the ball.
Having scored the two goals in the first 40 minutes of the game, Gareth Southgate’s men were looking to score more goals but the referee sounded the whistle at the end of the two extra minutes.
At the start of the second stanza of the game, coach Gernot Rohr made four changes to his starting lineup – with Oghenekaro Etebo replacing Ogenyi Onazi, Abdullahi Shehu substituted for Tyronne Ebuehi.
Leon Balogun also made way for Kenneth Omeruo, while Israel based John Ogu replaced Joel Obi in the game.
The changes helped the Super Eagles gain some balance in the midfield as against how they played in the previous half of the game.
