Just In: IGP plods in to reform SARS; approves audit of squad’s detention cells nationwide
An independent audit of detention cells of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) nationwide, has been approved by Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris.
The development follows a call for such action by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), The Cable reports.

gathers that in a bid to “oversee human rights situation of detainees,” the Commission had requested access to cells in all Police commands and formations in the country.
