Keep persegashing legislators and risk dictatorship in Nigeria – Shehu Sani faults presidency, police
– Senator Shehu Sani, the chairman of the Senate committee on local and foreign debt, has decried the alleged persecution of lawmakers by the executive arm of government
– Sani said that such a trend will endanger democracy in the country and breed dictatorship
– He said this on his Twitter page in a write-up he titled ‘frame up season’
Senator Shehu Sani, the chairman, Senate committee on local and foreign debt, has raised his voice against the alleged persecution of Nigerian lawmakers by the executive arm of the government, Daily Trust reports.

Sani said that the victimisation of legislators jeopardises democracy and lays the foundation dictatorship in the country especially as governance is concerned.
The senator on Sunday, June 3, took to his Twitter handle and posted a photo which he tagged, ‘Frame up Season’. This was coming after the police invited the Senate president, Bukola Saraki for interrogation over the Offa robbery scandal.
Meanwhile, Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi west senatorial district was arrested and arraigned in court by the police early in May, 2018.
