Barcelona star Lionel Messi would welcome a reunion with former teammate Neymar at the Nou Camp, but was quick to acknowledge that it would be an impossible task to accomplish.
The Selecao highly rated star switched to French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain for a reported £198million record transfer fee last year, and is currently linked with a move to Champions League holders, Real Madrid in the summer.
However, the 30-year-old Messi according to a UK Sun report, citing sources at Spain’s news outlet, Mundo Deportivo admitted that it will be a major coup if the Spanish side could bring back the prized Brazil international to the Primera Liga.

“Obviously, if it were possible, I would love Neymar to return.
“He is an exceptional player and having him with us once again would be fantastic. To be honest, I find it difficult to imagine it this happening. But, it were up to me, it would be great,” Messi was quoted as saying.
Interestingly, the 26-year-old Neymar, is currently still linked with a move to Barca’s domestic rival, Real Madrid in the summer, but Messi would not want to the deal see the light of the day.
“The truth is, I really wouldn’t like it if he go to Real Madrid,” submitted the Argentine superstar according to UK Sun.
Meanwhile, previously had reported that Messi wanted Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi excluded from the La Albiceleste World Cup squad.
The 25-year-old Icardi has now been left out despite proving to be among world’s top goals scorer over the past Serie A campaigns’ with Inter Milan.
