The Premier League are expected to pay £48m rising to £53m in another huge sign of their intent for next season after losing the Champions League final last month.
Liverpool have had back and forth with Lyon on the French star since they lost their last game of the season to Madrid but got their breakthrough to sign Fekir on Thursday evening according to Express Sport.
The 24-yearold forward is said to have been convinced to join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool revolution instead of waiting on interest from Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, and he will sign a five-year deal at Anfield.
Liverpool are also interested in signing Xherdan Shaqiri in a bid to strengthen their attack, while they loan out some of their fringe players.
Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn are both of interest to Steven Gerrard at Rangers, who clinched a deal for Ovie Ejaria yesterday.
Fekir was impressive for Lyon last season scoring 18 goals in the French League – just one goal behind Neymar – as Lyon finished third and was named in the team of the season.

He is expected to play back up for the France team this month though, competing with a glut of talent in Didier Deschamps’ squad including Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar, Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann.
After making his debut in 2015 he now has 11 France caps, scoring two goals including one in May against the Republic of Ireland.

The Premier League side sold their attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona earlier this year and they are yet to replace him.
However, the Reds will have to cough out £60 million to sign in a deal which could be sealed next week as reported by The Sun newspaper and quoted by Daily Star.
Reports coming out of Anfield claim that the Reds chiefs are planning to back their manager Jurgen Klopp when the transfer window opens after reaching the Champions League final.
