– Leicester City striker Riyad Mahrez could be on his way to Manchester City this summer
– The Algeria international is said to be wanted by the Citizens’ boss Pep Guardiola
Algeria international Riyad Mahrez who currently plays for Leicester City is reportedly on the verge of joining Premier League champions Manchester City.
In January 2018, the winger was said to have gone AWOL at Leicester City after the Foxes rejected multiple bids from City and demanded £80 million.
Leicester City are now said to be prepared to let him go after talking him back into the fold in February for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old will strengthen Pep Guardiola’s side and Leicester are looking at Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish or Norwich’s James Maddison to replace him according to Mirror UK.
Mahrez began his career as a youth player for French club AAS Sarcelles in 2004. He turned professional in 2009 with Quimper where he played for only one season before moving to Le Havre spending a total of three years with them.
