The Federal Government according to reports is set to issue a restriction on shooting of music recordings and in addition motion pictures outside the country.

The Minister of Information, Mr Lai Mohammed made this known on Saturday in Lagos when he visited the central station of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON).

In the visit, Lai Mohammed stated:

This administration has concurred that from now on, whatever we expend in Nigeria as far as music and movies, must be made in Nigeria

We can't keep on going to South Africa or whatever other nation to create our movies and after that send them back to be devoured in Nigeria

The Broadcasting Code and the Advertising Code are sure about this. For you to group an item as a Nigerian item, it must have a specific rate of Nigerian substance.
