The Nigeria born, Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote recently expressed his desire to buy Arsenal FC.

The Nigerian billionaire was a fan of Arsenal FC and willing to take over the club since past few years, but his offered was rejected by Arsenal board.

Recently the 60-year-old , Dangote declared that once the ongoing construction of Lagos $11bn oil refinery is completed, he will make his move to buy Arsenal and sacked Arsene Wenger.

Dangote said if Stan Kroenke,the club owner was able to be tempt to do business,the club manager,Arsene Wenger will be the first person to be sacked, saying “The first thing I would change is the coach,” “He has done a good job, but someone else should also try his luck.”

According to report, Kroenke has 67 % shareholding of Arsenal properties while Alisher Usmanov has 30% shareholding, the three 3% remaining shares was distribute among others.

In May, Mr. Usmanov offered $1.3bn to Kroenke to takeover his shares but the recent Arsenal owner declared that his plan was to stay longer as the club.

However, the Nigerian Billionaire has now plan to offer a huge bid to the two shareholders.

Dangote stated:

“If they get the right offer, I'm sure they would walk away, “Someone will give them an offer that will make them seriously consider walking away.

“And when we finish the refinery, I think we will be in a position to do that.”
